1974 Triumph TR6

Considered by many to be the last of the traditional British sports cars, the Triumph TR6 was the last of a long and fine line of fast and affordable open two seaters. Its origins lie in the TR2 of 1953 which evolved into the first of the similarly Belgrove-styled TR3/TR3A and then the Michelotti-penned TR4 and TR4A. When launched in 1968, the TR6 received a warm welcome and was regarded as the spiritual successor to the muscular Austin Healey 3000. Cars from 1973 onwards used a softer camshaft and
revised fuel injection, improving refinement and flexibility. The gearbox was also given new ratios and the optional overdrive was also improved, as was the facia, while the bodywork received a chin spoiler to improve stability.
This 1974 Triumph TR6 is finished in the attractive
and original colour of magenta red. In 2008 the car underwent a total body-off restoration, completed with mostly new parts at great expense. The work included reconditioning the 2.5 litre engine and the gearbox was overhauled which is now fitted with overdrive. The vendor describes the car as being ‘in as new’ condition and since completion of the restoration work the car has covered only 5
miles. A photographic record of the work carried out is supplied with the vehicle along with documents showing all EU taxes have been paid.
Dieser Triumph TR6 aus dem Jahre 1974 wurde erst dieses Jahr umfassend überholt und frisch in der originalen Farbe lila lackiert. Sowhol die Karrosserie als auch Motor und Getriebe (letzteres mit dem gefragten Overdrive) wurden professionell restauriert. Der Einlieferer beschreibt das Fahrzeug als im Neuzustand, eine fotografische Dokumentation der Restaurierung sowie den Nachweis des Einfuhrzolles werden mitgeliefert.
