Porsche's first production car, the 356 brought the marque enduring fame around the world and its reliability, performance and wonderfully entertaining handling have guaranteed it a keen following. Inspired by the Fiat-based Cisitalias of Piero Dusio, Dr Ferdinand Porsche had decided to follow the same path with a car using Volkswagen components. The first 356 was sold in July 1948 and production continued right through to 1965 in various guises and with numerous engines. As the company's first production model, the Porsche 356 set a new standard for small sports cars and gained its laurels in all manner of motor sport disciplines including racing and rallying.
The classic 356 Cabriolet presented here is in fine fettle. Loved and cared for by a Porsche enthusiast and only used during summertime, the car has hardly seen rain since its restoration. The latter is documented by invoices available in the cars file. Close to €30,000 has been spent to bring this Porsche into excellent and useable condition. The engine, which is the standard 1600cc has been expertly modified to produce some 82hp, instead of the normal 60hp - almost the output of a Super 90 - which is shown on a dyno sheet. This lively performer also runs on lead free petrol following appropriate work on its cylinder head. Finished in metallic silver with black leather seats and a grey interior the car comes with further equipment as: Nardi steering wheel, racing seatbelts, full tonneau and hood bag, chromed luggage rack, wireless etc. In addition, the whole electrical system has just been renewed and invoices for this very recent work are available. The car is registered to historic number plates and comes with German KFZ Brief and the aforementioned documentation. These classic Porsches are now very much sought after and sure to rise in value in the future.
Der hier präsentierte Porsche 356 befindet sich in sehr schönem Zustand. Mit Liebe und Sorgfalt von einem Porsche Enthusiasten gepflegt und nur während des Sommers eingesetzt, hat dieser Wagen seit seiner Restaurierung keinen Regen gesehen. Die Arbeiten sind durch Rechnungen belegt und belaufen sich auf nahezu ? 30.000,--, genug diesem Porsche zu excellentem Zustand zu verhelfen. Der Motor, die Standardversion mit 1600 cc und 60 PS wurde von Experten modifiziert und leistet lt. beiliegendem Diagramm nunmehr 82 PS, womit sie nahezu der Leistung des Super 90 entspricht. Das Fahrzeug kann bleifrei ( Super Plus ) betankt werden, dank einer Modifikation am Zylinderkopf. Lackiert in metallic silber und schwarzen Ledersitzen und grauem Interieur wird das Fahrzeug mit folgender Zusatzausstattung angeboten : Nardi Lenkrad, Hosenträger Gurte, Spritzdecke und Verdeckhaube, verchromter Heckgepäckträger, Radio usw. Die gesamte Elektrik wurde gerade erneuert, eine Rechnung hierüber liegt ebenfalls vor. Der Porsche besitzt H - Kennzeichen und einen deutschen KFZ - Brief, sowie die erwähnte Dukumentation. Die klassischen 356er Porsche sind mittlerweile sehr gesucht und steigen zukünftig wohl weiter im Wert, sodass die Gelegenheit hier ergriffen werden sollte.
