1993 Porsche 993 Turbo

The obvious significance of the 993 is that it is the last air-cooled 911. The 993 Turbo coupé was released in 1995. It featured a new and widely acclaimed turbocharged engine displacing 3.6 litres. Twin turbochargers and air-to-air intercoolers, electronic engine management, redesigned cylinder heads and other modified engine internals were used. The 993 Turbo was the first Porsche Turbo with all wheel drive. The electronic engine management helped the Turbo to achieve fuel efficiency far superior to any of the previous production Turbos. In connection with two catalytic converters and an on-board-diagnostics-system including four oxygen-sensors, it also made the 993 Turbo the cleanest sports car at its time. The Turbo's bodyshell differs from the Carrera body by widened rear wheel arches (approximately 6 cm), redesigned front and rear bumper mouldings, and a fixed rear wing housing the intercoolers. New 18 inch alloy wheels with weight-reducing hollow spokes were standard. This original works prototype is most certainly the last one in existence. From April 1993 until December 1994 it served the Porsche factory as an experimental car in various matters. In April 1995 the 993 Bi turbo was available and eagerly expected by the Porsche fraternity. In the vendor's hands since 1995, this collectable Porsche contains every extra available. Having been used sparingly by the vendor, a true Porsche collector, the car has been serviced as it should and recently technically revised. Having done only 70,000km in its whole life, this iconic air-cooled Porsche is sure to make a most welcome addition to any Porsche connoisseur`s collection and also a very fast and reliable road car. It comes with its original German KFZ documents, new TÜV presents itself in excellent condition.
Dieser original Werks - Prototyp ist höchstwahrscheinlich der letzte frei verfügbare seines Typs. Er diente von April 1993 bis Dezember 1994 als Versuchsfahrzeug und Aggregateträger für den im April 1995 vorgestellten Porsche 993 Bi-Turbo. Der Wagen befindet sich seit 1995 in Sammlerhand des Einlieferers und wurde stets vorschriftsmäßig gewartet und erst kürzlich technisch überarbeitet und teilweise neu lackiert. Der Wagen besitzt zudem jegliches zum damaligen Zeitpunkt erhältliche Extra und ist sicherlich eine willkommene Ergänzung für jeden Porsche Sammler, ist dies doch der letzte luftgekühlte Porsche und markiert das Ende einer über 50 jährigen Ära des legendären deutschen Sportwagen Herstellers. Mit einer Gesamtlaufleistung von ca. 70000 km ist dieser sammelwürdige 993 Prototyp zudem ein schneller und zuverlässiger Reisewagen. Der original KFZ Brief liegt vor, ebenso eine neue TÜV Abnahme. Das Fahrzeug ist lackiert in schwarz und ausgestattet mit braunem Lederinterieur und befindet sich in hervorragendem Zustand.
