The product of another successful collaboration between Alfa Romeo and Zagato, the Sprint Zagato, or SZ as it was more commonly known, was built between 1989 and 1991, with a total of 1,036 cars being produced. Launched at the 1989 Geneva Motor Show, all cars built were in left-hand drive form and fitted with a 3.0-litre V6 engine. With its limited production numbers this unique supercar is highly desirable today.
We are delighted to offer this rare Alfa Romeo SZ, which has recorded a mere 7,150 kilometres from new. Originally a German market car, chassis 869 has spent much of its life in a dry climate, before coming to its only UK owner in 2012. Part of a private collection, this striking car has completed a token mileage in the current ownership.
Presented in the only colour combination available – red with a tan leather interior – this example is completely standard, and is offered with both keys, the original leather-bound certificate of authenticity, and original owner’s manuals.
A UK V5 is present, as is a recent MoT, valid to April 2016. Chassis 896 has recently enjoyed a full service, in addition to a previous recorded cambelt service.
With prices of earlier Zagato-bodied Alfa Romeos rising daily, this car offers gilt-edged investment potential, whilst being fantastic fun to drive. A perfect addition for any astute enthusiast’s collection.
