HRDC ‘COYS TROPHY’ Snetterton 8th July

The HRDC ‘COYS TROPHY’ race at Snetterton was a closely contested event decided in exuberant style by Mini Guru, Jonathan Lewis, propelling his rapid Mini Cooper S to the forefront of a tough grid of contestants that included the likes of Lotus Cortina, Alfa Romeo GTA , Ford Falcon, Mini Cooper S and a mid-field of pre-60 ‘Goodwood’ Touring Cars. This premier but demanding 45-minute race was made even more challenging by being held on Snetterton’s complex ‘300’ circuit in engine-melting temperatures.

A long-term mainstay of the Historic Racing Drivers Club annual race season, the ‘COYS TROPHY’ is also now a firmly established feature in the International Historic Racing calendar.
