The Ariel 5HT is one of the most successful Trials machine ever built in its class.
Made famous by the very successful and unbeatable trials rider Sammy Miller. Being a rare due to the fact that production was very limited, fakes and replicas abound, but very few genuine HT5’s exist. This fine example is 100% genuine.
This Ariel 5HT was manufactured in 1957 and first registered in January 1958, the Buff Log Book shows 3 owners prior to the more recent V5 showing the last owner as the well-known Motorcycle engineer Mick Miller, first registered on 22-01-1958 REG NO : 670DTJ Taxation & MOT Class: Historic –Tax & MOT Exempt – Vin No : CRT488 – Engine No : CNJ319
The subject of an earlier no expense spared restoration seeing very little use since. Being a Centerpiece in on display in a private collection. The bike starts and runs as it should, you will not find better genuine HT5 and that’s even if you are lucky to find a comparable anyway. Very useable and eligible for classic pre 1965 trails or a great centerpiece and work or art for your living room. This example comes with original logbook and current V5.
