The Vanden Plas Princess, a version of the Austin A99 Westminster produced by BMC from 1959 to 1968 with later versions under the Vanden Plas name. Launched in October 1959 under the name ‘Vanden Plas Princess 3-litre’ ,the Vanden Plas name became a brand in its own right rather than being known as a coachbuilder for cars of other manufacturers. The 3-litre was upgraded by the ‘Vanden Plas Princess 4-litre R’ in 1964.
Looking at the motorcar on show here, we can again see the fine condition that the collection has been kept in and this 4-litre example has already been generated a significant amount of interest from collectors. The Princess reads just 27,00 miles from new.
Offered at No Reserve on 18th May 2019 at Chiswick House.
