Although best known for its all-conquering multi-cylindered racers and its prestigious 4-cyl sports bikes, MV Agusta’s motorcycle brand began by producing small displacement machines.
After the 125 and the 175 models launched in the late 1950s, a 4-stroke 250 twin was launched, the 250 Raid, which then was developed into the 250 B in 1968, a model recognizable by its characteristic stepped seat. Available in GT or Sports variants, the handsome 250 B was robust and its twin carb, 19hp 247cc twin provided 85mph performance. The 250 B was replaced in 1971 by the 350, which sold in significantly greater numbers.
This well-preserved 250 B is finished in red and black, and it comes to sale from a significant private Italian collection. In good general condition, the motor runs very well.
