1972 Fiat 500

The replacement for Fiat’s much-loved 500 ‘Topolino’, the Nuova 500, debuted in 1957. A radical departure from its predecessor’s essentially pre-war design, Fiat’s new baby featured unitary construction, a full-length opening fabric roof and all-independent suspension while carrying its engine at the rear. The 479cc engine was a new air-cooled overhead-valve twin, while the gearbox was a four-speeder.

The basic 500’s austerity was initially not too well received, so this soon prompted the introduction of a revised and better equipped version endowed with refinements such as wind-down windows, an upholstered rear seat, column-mounted switchgear stalks and hub caps for the wheels. The 500 of 1960 employed a 499.5cc version of the engine from the previous model, but although being in a lower state of tune it nevertheless brought with it a small gain in horsepower.

This Fiat 500 is in a lovely ‘Giallo Tahiti’ colour with black interior and the car is in generally good condition – a very good opportunity to invest in one of Italy’s most loved cars.

Dieser Fiat 500 in der Farbe “Giallo Tahiti” mit schwarzem Interieur, ist rundum in einem guten Zustand – eine sehr gute Gelegenheit, in eines von Italiens meist geliebten Autos zu investieren.
