This is a fantastic bike was inspected by Piero Laverda on the 26th May last year in which he states that the bike was based on a correct and original SF made in the spring of 1972 that was probably converted in period to SFC specification for racing in FIMI club races in the Production racer class. He goes on to state the the bike has numerous original SFC parts that are listed in his report and these were available from the factory as spares to potential privateer race teams or individuals. The report concludes that the engine upgrade parts were also available but to certify one would have to dismantle the engine to be sure.
It is supplied with a copy of this report in its native Italian and an English translation, it is even registered as an SFC on the Italian registration documents. It is reported to run very well with a sound like ‘thunder’. A 1970’s Italian thoroughbred at its very very best these bikes are simply phenomenal to ride if you are man enough to tame them.
