That the first CB750 of 1969 was a seminal machine is undisputed. With a 736cc SOHC transverse four engine and a front disc brake it was hailed by the press as ‘the most sophisticated production bike ever’ and ‘a masterpiece’, and the term ‘superbike’ was coined to describe it.
This 1973 K2 model shows 29,592km (18,387m) and it is equipped with drilled dual front disc brakes and a 2 into 1 exhaust system, but it is otherwise unmodified from standard.
