Offered at no reserve
Mercedes-Benz introduced the W123 four-door version on 29th January 1976. While there were some technical similarities to their predecessors, the new models were larger in wheelbase and exterior dimensions. The styling was also updated, although stylistic links with the W114 / W115 were maintained. Initially, all models except 280/280E featured quad unequal-size round headlights and the latter large rectangular units. When facelifted, these units became standard across the range.
This honest example is a desirable pillarless coupe, first registered in 1981. The odometer shows 81,000kms and the vehicle underwent a full inspection in June 2019. The vendor has added subtle modifications including uprated suspension, 16 inch wheels with a wider tyre profile, a wooden steering wheel and a rear silencer. The paintwork has been updated to a brilliant dark blue during the vendor’s ownership. The tyres, brakes and brake pads have been replaced recently and are described as ‘like new’. This W123 is ready to be enjoyed and is sold with no reserve.
