1986 BMW M635 CSI

BMW Motorsport introduced the M 635 CSi in Europe at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1983. It is essentially an E24 powered by the powerplant of the BMW M1 – the M88 (282hp).
This is a great opportunity to acquire an excellent BMW M635 CSi (often referred to as the M6) in an attractive colour scheme of diamond metallic black, with shadow-line and pearl beige interior.

The car comes with full service history from a careful owner and has had a lot of restoration work done over the last few years, so should prove to be hassle-free for the foreseeable future. It has 117,000 documented miles from new, and these cars are relatively scarce; according to the website howmanyleft.com, there are only 76 licensed M635 CSis in the UK, so the car is sure to be a good investment, as the market has seen values rise already in the past few years. Original factory options included electric seats and sunroof, air conditioning and adjustable rear headrests. The standard wide TRX wheels are included in the sale but it is currently on 16” BMW BBS wheels with new tyres.

Some of the main things done to the car recently include a new cam-chain, idle valve, radiator, coolant/fuel/vacuum/brake hoses, slave cylinder, all diff seals, prop-shaft coupling and exhaust box fitted.

The suspension has had new Bilstein shocks fitted, top mounts and most bushings underneath the car have been replaced, so it handles as it is meant to. The fan motor and control, washer tubes, valves and motor, battery, glove box torch and floor mats have all been replaced. The air-con has been converted to modern gas and a new dryer fitted.

The car had a full respray several years ago. The headlamps have been updated to Xenon and the period Pioneer stereo has been complemented with Pioneer speakers, discreet tweeters and sub-woofers, amplifier plus CD changer and the car comes wired for a trickle charger, phone and radar detector. Truly a practical and usable classic which has already seen a rise in value, expect this trend to continue –don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity here today.
