Without question the Mercedes Benz SL W107 series, built from 1971 to 1989 is fast becoming an appreciating classic and rightly so, it’s a beautiful, stylish car. Values are on the up for the best examples and it is hardly surprising when you see the prices and demand for the earlier SL W113 soring to new record levels. However, in reality the W107 is arguably a better car to own and drive than its predecessor making it a perhaps a more sensible investment right now.
This lovely example has been in the current ownership since 1999 and has been well looked after in that time. The engine was overhauled in 2016-2018 at a cost of nearly £20,000 and is said to be very reliable. The owner also made the sensible upgrade to air conditioning retrofitted into the dashboard. The car comes complete with hard top, stand, car cover and unused Mercedes wind deflector (still boxed!).
