The Alpina B10 Bi-Turbo was designed as a high-performance alternative to the BMW 5-series E34. Production began in 1989 and ended in 1994 with just 507 examples produced, all in left-hand drive. The B10 was based on the BMW 535i and the M30 3.5-litre engine received numerous upgrades. Most notably, with the addition of two adjustable Garrett T25 Turbochargers that took power to 360bhp with 384Ib-ft of torque. Alpina also added bigger brakes, new springs, anti-roll bars, Bilstein shocks at the front and automatic load-leveling Fictel & Sachs at the rear. The performance was staggering, even by modern standards, with 0-60mph coming up in 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 180mph.
This limited edition B10, being No. 327 out of 507 produced by Alpina, is described to be equipped with the following features: ABS, ASC, traction control, differential lock, alloy wheels, electric windows and mirrors, air conditioning, leather interior, CD sound system, sunroof, power assisted steering, burr walnut finish, sports seats and much more. Importantly all services have been done and can be viewed in the cars extensive history file. Its covered just over 5,000Kms since a turbo system and suspension renewal and sits on almost new tyres. Definitely a collector’s item today and maybe best described as a wolf in sheepskin. This is a rare opportunity for the serious enthusiast and collector of the genuine rare Alpina branded cars.
