Introduced in 1993, the handsome new DB7 was Aston Martin’s first six-cylinder model since production of the DBS had finished in 1971. Designed by Ian Callum at the same time as he designed the coupe, the Volante looks elegant both hood up or down, much like the earlier Aston Martin drop head cars. Well received, it attracted new customers worldwide, with the traditional layout of the curvaceous two door coupé body, robust six-cylinder engine and a luxury interior. Power was supplied by an all-alloy, double overhead camshaft, supercharged, 24-valve, in-line six-cylinder engine which produced 335bhp at 5750rpm. The DB7 was undoubtedly the catalyst for the modern line of Aston Martin
Presented in the original Rolls Royce Aegean Blue, with cream leather interior, this DB7 Volante is said to be in a very good condition throughout with a reported 58,000 miles covered from new. Fully equipped with electric windows, seats, air conditioning, electrically operated convertible top, sports wheels, tool kit, service records and a complete work shop manual. The car spent most of its life in Beverly Hills, California and comes to auction with all EU Taxes paid and a NOVA reference ready for registration. A wonderful example of this swiftly appreciating classic and the genesis of the modern Aston Martin line; a great investment.
