The TVR Cerbera was manufactured between 1996 and 2003. The name is derived from ‘Cerberus’, the three-headed beast of Greek legend that guarded the entrance of Hades. The car itself was designed from the start as a four-seater. The rear seats are smaller than the front, a design commonly referred to as a ‘2+2’. However, the interior is designed so that the passenger seat can slide farther forward than the driver’s seat. This allows more room for the person sitting behind the front passenger.
This stunning example, first registered on New Year’s Eve of 1997, has clearly been cosseted for all of its 22 years. The Cerbera has covered a mere 33,000 miles, supported by a fully stamped service record at TVR main dealers in addition to invoices for works completed. Notably the TVR is fitted with the more powerful AP Racing brake calipers to the front and rear.
Always garaged and used as a third car by the current owner, the Cerbera has never been used in the rain and has always been MOT’d, even when not in use. The TVR is complete with a Pioneer Bluetooth stereo, new key fobs, an indoor cover and trickle charger.
With just 1000 in the last 3 years and having enjoyed a large service recently, in addition to new Avon ZZ5 tyres on each corner, this is a fabulous example of TVR’s giant-killing supercar.
