This superb right hand drive replica example is finished in the works safari team livery. Fresh from a major recommissioning by Z FARM in late 2017 and presented in historic classic safari spec, the car is fitted with a number of alterations replicating the original cars, as well as many unique desirable and essential modifications. The car can easily be reverted for use in the next historic rally stage events of regularity marathon events.
Originally restored, built and raced in the 90’s by Marque specialists the Z FARM for historic rally stage events. In 2002 the car was sold to a client who commissioned the Z FARM to convert the car from ground up restoration from the gruelling endurance of the East African classic rally. The car competed in the safari classic in 2003, 2005 and 2007, being recommissioned after each race and then sold.
The car has much provenance, due to its racing history dossier with magazine write ups to grace and car collection having followed the footsteps of the works Datsun 240z rally cars. The specification is as follow:
ENGINE – 2.6L with triple webers, oil cooler, solid baffled sump, and triple core rad with twin cooling fans. Upgraded 280 gearbox and competition clutch
FUEL TANK – Alloy 120L fuel tank, twin electric pumps
TYRES – New rally tyres on 15×6 minilite wheels, plus 2 spare and jack
OTHER – Competition exhaust, Carello spotlights, trip meter navigation unit, Sparco seats with full safety harness.
Built by one of the best preparers in the business. The Z FARM have built more historic rally 240z’s than any other company in the UK. This car would cost over twice the asking price to be replicated today. Comes with FIA/MSA rally log book.
